Wall mount

Mounting a small canvas to a wall can be done in several ways, depending on the type of wall you are mounting it on. Here are a few options:

How to hang canvas modules on walls

Adhesive strips and command hooks:

For lightweight canvases, adhesive strips are a simple and easy way to mount them to the wall. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application. Clean the wall and the back of the canvas before applying the strips, and press firmly to ensure a secure hold.

Each of our canvas modules is provided with a command hook being the easiest wall mount option. They are simple to install and do not require any tools or drilling. Simply peel off the adhesive backing and press the hook onto the wall.

Unlike nails or screws, Command hooks can be removed without leaving holes or damaging the wall. This makes them a good option if you rent the space or need to move the art modules for other reasons.

Despite their ease of use and removability, command hooks are designed to hold a surprising amount of weight. They use a special adhesive that forms a strong bond with the wall, so you can trust that your artwork will stay securely in place.

Picture hangers:

Another option for small canvases is to use a picture hanger. Attach the hanger to the back of the canvas frame, making sure it is centred. Then, position the canvas where you want it. Mark the centre and hammer a small nail or hook into the wall  under your mark. Then hang the canvas.

However, it is a slightly more complicated approach if your wall artwork has multiple modules. For mounting artwork that consists of multiple canvases, use provided guiding paper to mark exact spots on the wall.

Just tape it on the wall. use a level to ensure it is straight. And mark the hanging spots with a pencil right through the paper.

If you use the command hooks with artwork that has multiple canvases, simply peel off the adhesive backing and press the hook onto the marked spot.

2. Flat picture frame-

floating mount on plexiglass

This style creates the appearance of the artwork “floating” inside the frame.

Remove backing board from any standard photo frame and use a plexiglass cover on it’s place. For the best look make sure, the frame has equal spaces on all sides from the sides of your artwork group to the borders of the frame.

Then use Adhesive strips or command hooks to secure modular canvases on the plexiglass.

If you wish to hang the frame on the wall, but hanging hooks have been removed with the backingboard, then use a number of command hooks or adhesive strips to secure it on the wall.

3. FRAMING SERVICES

Take your canvas modules to your local art framing office and they will offer you a variety of contemporary baguette frame options, also called tray frames, canvas floater frames or 3D floating frames.

This modern type of framing has a shadow gap between the inside edge of the frame and the side of the canvas group. Depending on your gap size choice, sides of the canvases can be visible if placed farther from the frame or hidden in a smaller gap filled with shadow.

Give them the provided guiding papers to ensure they follow the right pattern and grid spacing between the art modules when mounting them on the board.

They will then correctly mount your canvas modules on a mounting board and install it inside the floating frame of your choice.

4. DISTANCE FLOAT MOUNT

IN A BOX FRAME

It makes sense to cover your design art with glass or pixel glass If you’re concerned about protecting the canvas from UV light or people touching it. Box frames use a spacer or fillet between the glass and the mountboard to create a void large enough to hang the art without it touching the glass.

Also called shadowbox, Box frame that has at least 3 cm three-dimensional inner depth allows placing the canvases far back in the picture frame and covering the top with acrylic or glass.

Box frame construction should have a following structure:

  • Frame

  • Glass

  • Distance list

  • Backingboard with mounted canvas modules

5. ACRYLIC DISPLAY

WITH OR WITHOUT BOTTOM

Overall, framing enhances the appearance of textural artwork by drawing attention to its unique features and highlighting its colors, textures, and details. It provides a professional and finished look to your design artwork, making it more impressive and attractive.

Options without glass cover
  • no frame wall mount
  • flat frame mount or
  • floating framing

Options without glass cover allow vibrant colors and a high level of textured canvases be shown in a best way and create a striking visual impact, adding depth and dimension to your space.

Glazed options
  • acrylic display or
  • box frame

Glazed options provide a sleek and polished finish, allowing the artwork to stand out and be the focal point, while effectively protecting the surface of canvases from touching or environmental factors.

Whatever style you choose for placing, framed design art is an innovative and versatile way to decorate your home or office space. With its modular design, you can create a unique and personalized layout that suits your individual style and taste.
