Deforestation

CONCEPT: 

Deforestation is the beige that replaces green.

Deforestation operates through agricultural expansion, logging, and certification systems that register forest as commodity. Each minute, approximately 36 football fields of forest are lost globally.

The work presents a pale, mineral-like relief contained within a metal frame. Its uneven, crusted surface resembles a fragment of depleted ground: granular, eroded and almost geological, with traces of irregularity embedded across the beige field. The absence of green becomes perceptible through what has replaced it.

The work opens up looking away, hidden labour, and invisible infrastructure as the structure that keeps deforestation unseen.

The estimated delivery times from the time the parcel is shipped from the art studio:

EU zone within 7 working days and elsewhere in the world within 14 working days. Only formalities in the customs of the destination country may affect the delivery times.

The art can be returned within 7 days of receiving the package. The buyer is responsible for covering the postage and any other expenses related to the return, including secure packaging. If a package is not picked up, the costs of return will be deducted from the purchase price before reimbursement.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Artworks are crafted with biodegradable materials, with degradation rates varying based on environmental conditions. It is recommended to place them in environments with low humidity and temperatures between 14ºC and 40ºC.

These artworks are of archival quality and durability, comparable to those of the old masters.

Dust paintings regularly using a dry, soft and fine brush. Don’t use cleaning products or water.
