CONCEPT: 

Pink is the colour of excess: attractive, artificial and built from the earth itself.

Modern consumption turns natural resources into products, packaging and waste at an accelerating scale. Household consumption is estimated to account for around 65–72% of global greenhouse-gas emissions, when emissions across the supply chains of the goods and services we consume are included.

The work is a dense pink relief. Its uneven, mineral surface shifts between smooth areas and rough, granular textures. The pink brings together the appearance of pleasure and the colour of excess from the earth.

The work opens up externalised environmental cost, the consumer price as a planetary price gap, and the marketed object as positive value against its hidden negative value as the structures that keep consumption seen as choice rather than as climate consequence.

This is “Made to Order” artwork. Orders usually are sent within 14 days from Helsinki.

The estimated delivery times from the time the parcel is shipped from the art studio:

EU zone within 7 working days and elsewhere in the world within 14 working days. Only formalities in the customs of the destination country may affect the delivery times.

The art can be returned within 7 days of receiving the package. The buyer is responsible for covering the postage and any other expenses related to the return, including secure packaging. If a package is not picked up, the costs of return will be deducted from the purchase price before reimbursement.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Artworks are crafted with biodegradable materials, with degradation rates varying based on environmental conditions. It is recommended to place them in environments with low humidity and temperatures between 14ºC and 40ºC.

These artworks are of archival quality and durability, comparable to those of the old masters.

Dust paintings regularly using a dry, soft and fine brush. Don’t use cleaning products or water.
