Artist Statement: This artwork represents Treasure series.
Treasure is a collection created from repurposed and upcycled materials. It stands as a response to a society that often measures success by how much we own. Instead of following this logic, the collection focuses on redefining value—shifting attention away from constant consumption and toward meaning, longevity, and mindful use.
The works are made from objects at the end of their intended life, showing that their value is not lost when their function ends. This perspective is rooted in my personal experience of moving to a wealthier country during my teenage years, where patterns of continuous consumption contrasted strongly with my earlier environment. A Treasure reflects this contrast and offers an alternative view: that worth does not depend on ownership, and that what is discarded still holds significance.
